Whether or not you need to detox before treatment depends on your substance use history (which substances you used, at what level, and for how long). Your primary care doctor can help you determine if medically supervised detox is necessary for you. Specific detox requirements may also vary from rehab to rehab. Rehab admissions and clinical staff can provide more information and help you create a plan for detox during your initial assessment.

How do rehabs ensure confidentiality?
