Surrounded by 78 acres of peaceful Indiana countryside, Selah House helps adolescent girls and adult women ages 12 and older recover from anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and other eating disorders. As part of the Odyssey Eating Disorder Network, Selah House offers residential treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient programming (IOP). Separate tracks for teens and adults allow clients to connect with peers in similar stages of life and recovery..

Where Faith and Recovery Meet

Selah House combines evidence-based treatment with faith-based support for clients who want to incorporate spirituality into their recovery. Clients can participate in spiritual counseling, Bible studies, worship services, and chaplain support alongside individual therapy, group therapy, nutrition counseling, and medical care. Through the Care Through Culinary program, clients strengthen life skills and rebuild healthy relationships with food through meal planning, preparation, and shared dining experiences.

Healing Beyond the Therapy Room

Recovery extends beyond traditional therapy sessions. Clients build confidence, trust, and self-awareness through equine-assisted therapy while developing practical skills through the Care Through Culinary program. Hands-on experiences help clients strengthen their relationship with food, process emotions, and practice recovery skills in everyday situations.

Community, Family, and Lifelong Support

Clients stay in warm, home-like residences with shared bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens, and inviting communal spaces. Teens receive academic support from an on-site teacher who coordinates with schools and families, while loved ones participate in family therapy and educational programming. Recovery support continues after treatment through personalized aftercare planning, alumni and family support groups, recovery-focused events, and online communities that help clients stay connected long after they return home.

Testimonial
I would absolutely recommend Selah! Although at first I was not very open with my team, they made me feel so loved and cared for from the start! I found love, hope, and compassion for myself. As well as them teaching me to give myself grace. I couldn't have done it without the wonderful staff there. Some of the best humans I've ever encountered.

A Different Approach to Food
A Different Approach to Food
The Care Through Culinary™ program takes recovery beyond the therapy room and into the kitchen. Clients gain hands-on experience planning, preparing, and sharing meals in a supportive environment. Through culinary exploration and real-world food experiences, they build confidence around food, and challenge food-related fears.
Faith as Part of the Healing Journey
Faith as Part of the Healing Journey
Selah House blends evidence-based eating disorder treatment with a Christ-centered approach to healing. Named after the biblical word Selah, which encourages us to pause and reflect, the program offers spiritual counseling, Bible studies, worship services, and chaplain support alongside clinical care. This whole-person approach helps clients find healing in mind, body, and spirit.
Healing with Horses
Healing with Horses
Some of the most meaningful moments in treatment happen outside the therapy room. Through equine-assisted therapy, women work with horses creating opportunities to learn, trust, and connect in new ways. It's a chance to slow down, spend time outdoors, and experience recovery from a different perspective.
Staying on Track in School
Staying on Track in School
Teen clients don't have to choose between recovery and their education. A full-time teacher works with schools and families to help students continue coursework and maintain academic progress throughout treatment, helping ease the transition back to everyday life.
