Aster Springs Richmond helps adults of all genders build a more flexible relationship with food through personalized outpatient eating disorder treatment. In small groups and individual sessions, clients work with their care team to understand eating patterns, address challenges with food and body image, and practice skills they can use in everyday life. The program treats anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), other specified feeding or eating disorder (OSFED), and purging disorder through partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and evening virtual IOP.

Aster Springs considers each client's emotional, medical, nutritional, and relationship needs when building treatment plans. Therapy and nutrition support address eating behaviors, body image, and co-occurring conditions such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. Care focuses on building skills clients can use long after treatment ends.

Find a Treatment Schedule That Fits

They offer daytime partial hospitalization (PHP) for clients who need more structured care and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) for those who need fewer treatment hours. An evening virtual IOP offers another option for people balancing treatment with school, work, or family responsibilities. Each program allows clients to continue living at home while receiving therapy and nutrition support. Clients must be medically stable to participate, since the location does not provide overnight care.

Access Additional Levels of Care

Treatment needs may change over time, and Aster Springs is part of a network that includes residential eating disorder treatment programs in Ohio, Tennessee, and Virginia through Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare. These programs offer additional options for clients who need more intensive support. After treatment, former clients and their families can also stay connected through separate weekly support groups.
