Center for Discovery Hamptons

Center for Discovery Community Residence for Eating Disorder Integrated Treatment (CREDIT) Program Hamptons is located on Long Island and treats clients ages 11-18 for eating disorders and co-occurring disorders. Discover treats anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder (BED), and more. Treatment modalities they offer include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure & response prevention (ERP), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Discovery’s specialized binge eating disorder (BED) program Path to Peace is also offered at this location. Path to Peace aims to help clients discover a peaceful relationship with food and body. Discover’s overall commitment is to shift the way society views bodies and weight. They work to empower their clients to have a healthy relationship with food by digging into the underlying causes of the disorder with a trauma-informed lens. Discover additionally implements a Health-at-Every-Size model to fight size-ism and weight stigmas that are inherent in society.

Since 2016, Center for Discovery Hamptons has been helping their clients find peace within themselves and heal their traumas to promote a healthier and happier lifestyle. Their Long Island home has updated with homey furnishings to make clients feel right at home. There is a large backyard with a patio and pool for lounging. The center is walking distance to the beach, which allows clients to be able to connect in nature through their healing process. This center plays a large role in the eating disorder treatment community by hosting NEDA walks, sponsoring community dinners, and providing educational seminars about eating disorders in schools. Center for Discovery is Joint Commission accredited and accepts private insurance.
