About Family Care Center - Sloans Lake
Making mental health care easier to navigate, Family Care Center – Sloan’s Lake matches clients with therapists and psychiatric providers based on their needs and preferences. The center serves children, adolescents, adults, families, LGBTQ+ clients, Veterans, and older adults. Along with therapy, psychiatry, medication management, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), the clinic has a mental health intensive outpatient program (IOP) that meets 3 hours a day, 4 days a week, for about 5–6 weeks.
Welcoming Spaces for Healing
Their dedicated therapists and psychiatrists provide care grounded in evidence-based approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and family therapy. Clients receive personalized support for depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and other mental health concerns. The IOP uses evidence-based group therapy in groups of no more than 10, allowing clients to receive more frequent support while continuing to live at home. The IOP focuses on mental health and is not a substance use program.
A Broader Range of Care
The center offers specialized services such as TMS, play therapy for children, neurofeedback, couples counseling, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Located in Denver’s Sloan’s Lake neighborhood, the clinic sits just south of Sloan Lake near Colfax Elementary School. Family Care Center brings therapists, psychiatric providers, intensive outpatient care, and specialized treatments together in one location, making it easier for clients to coordinate different parts of their mental health care.
