Established more than 30 years ago, Therapy Center of New York (TCNY) provides outpatient therapy through a team of more than 30 psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers. Located on Fifth Avenue near the Empire State Building, the Midtown South office offers in-person therapy, telemedicine, and teletherapy for children, adults, families, couples, and groups. Clients can access individual, group, family, couples, and pre-marriage counseling, as well as life and career guidance.
Access Therapy, Testing, and Medication Support
The team uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), behavior therapy, mindfulness, trauma therapy, and grief counseling. They also provide psychiatric and psychological evaluations, medication management, neuropsychological, cognitive, intelligence, personality, and psychoeducational testing. The practice treats anxiety, depression, stress, panic attacks, eating disorders, trauma, grief, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Support for Specific Needs
TCNY - Midtown South supports clients navigating relationship and conflict concerns, life transitions, pregnancy and birth-related issues, low self-esteem, and concerns involving cyberbullying and sexting. Additional services include coaching, employment psychosocial evaluations, support related to gender transitioning and LGBT issues, and a specialty self-pay treatment for panic attacks and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
