About New York Counseling for Change
Addressing mental health, behavioral, relationship, and justice-related concerns, New York Counseling for Change serves adolescents and adults ages 12 and older through outpatient care. The Queens-based clinic works with clients in person, through virtual therapy across New York State, and in community settings. Its clinicians support adolescents, young adults, adults, older adults, and couples, including people involved with the justice system and those affected by domestic violence.
Creating Meaningful Change
New York Counseling for Change tailors therapy to each client’s needs, experiences, and goals. Clinicians use internal family systems (IFS), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), forensic psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused therapy to address mental health, relationship, and behavioral concerns. Individual, couples, family, and group therapy provide different ways to address emotional, behavioral, and relationship challenges.
Care for Justice-Involved Clients and Families
The clinic provides specialized support for justice-involved clients and people affected by intimate partner and family violence, with psychiatric care and medication management available when needed. Reflecting the diverse communities it serves, NYC4C has a multilingual team that can provide care in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Hebrew, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Clients can connect with this team at the Queens office, virtually across New York State, or in community settings.
