AMFM Mental Health Treatment
About AMFM Mental Health Treatment
AMFM believes in going beyond traditional mental health care, offering a more personal, deeply compassionate healing experience. Their care delivers results: 87% of AMFM clients say they'd recommend the program, according to the company's 2025 outcomes data. That standard shapes the women's residential program in San Juan Capistrano, where a small group of clients receive care for depression, anxiety, trauma, and other primary or co-occurring conditions.
Develop Skills for Long-Term Stability
Women learn to manage mental health conditions, process trauma, and rebuild daily structure through twice-weekly individual therapy alongside group sessions that include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) for those who haven't found relief through medication alone. Weekly psychiatric sessions guide medication management, while equine therapy, yoga, and expressive arts round out 60 hours of weekly clinical programming.
Unwind and Stay Active Together
Up to 6 women share private and semi-private rooms in AMFM's San Juan Capistrano home, each close to a dedicated therapy room reserved for one-on-one confidentiality. A backyard patio and porch invite easy downtime, while an on-site wellness center and fitness center, on-site yoga, and off-site beach walks, hiking, and cooking classes keep the days active. Chef-prepared meals accommodate kosher, vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free needs.
Receive Tailored Long-Term Support
Discharge planning starts early in a client's stay, and clinicians can help arrange a step down to outpatient care so the transition home happens gradually rather than all at once. Aftercare plans may also include family follow-up counseling, online alumni groups, an aftercare app, and the ability to call a counselor, plus in-person alumni events for those who want to stay connected after care ends.
