Adults who need more support than weekly therapy can access structured outpatient mental health treatment at Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center Dallas/Plano. Located in Plano, just outside Dallas, their on-site partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP) support medically stable clients with anxiety, depressive, mood and anxiety, and trauma-related disorders while they continue living outside treatment.

Practice Skills with Clinical Support

Pathlight Dallas/Plano uses mindfulness-based outpatient care led by a multidisciplinary team that can include psychiatrists, therapists, family clinicians, nurses, case managers, alumni coordinators, and support staff. Clients practice skills for emotional regulation, avoidance, communication, distress tolerance, and daily coping through individual, group, and family-informed care, with medical and psychiatric support available throughout outpatient treatment.

Choose the Right Level of Structure

Clients can enter two on-site levels of care depending on symptom severity, daily responsibilities, and clinical needs. The partial hospitalization program (PHP) meets Monday–Friday, 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., while the intensive outpatient program (IOP) meets Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., helping clients match treatment structure to their schedules.

Plan for Continuing the Path

Pathlight’s team supports continuity beyond treatment through discharge planning, outpatient referrals, and communication with existing providers when available. Family and caregiver resources, alumni outreach, virtual support groups, educational events, blogs, podcasts, and practical tools can help clients and loved ones stay connected, maintain support, and prepare for next steps after PHP or IOP ends safely.

Address Overlapping Symptoms
Address Overlapping Symptoms
Pathlight’s transdiagnostic approach recognizes that anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, and mood concerns often overlap. Instead of focusing only on one diagnosis, care can address patterns that affect thoughts, emotions, motivation, avoidance, relationships, and daily routines, helping clients practice responses that fit their real-life challenges, goals, and responsibilities outside treatment settings.
Find Therapy Matched to Goals
Find Therapy Matched to Goals
Clients may practice different skills depending on their goals, challenges, and level of care. Treatment can draw from acceptance, mindfulness, exposure, behavioral activation, emotional regulation, communication, and distress tolerance strategies, giving clients practical ways to respond to worry, low mood, trauma responses, avoidance, and relationship stress in daily life and relationships.
Practice Skills in Small Groups
Practice Skills in Small Groups
Group therapy gives clients space to learn with clinical guidance and hear from others facing similar symptoms. In skills-focused groups, clients can practice mindfulness, emotional regulation, communication, distress tolerance, and flexible thinking, then apply those tools between sessions while continuing home, work, school, and relationship routines outside treatment each week.
Include Family and Support Systems
Include Family and Support Systems
Pathlight recognizes that recovery often affects families, friends, and caregivers, not just the individual in treatment. When appropriate, family-informed care and support resources can help loved ones understand symptoms, communicate more effectively, prepare for discharge, and stay connected through education, events, and virtual support groups over time together after care.
