A Little Help for the Mind
Therapy at Columbia Mental Health may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), interpersonal therapy (IPT), and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT). Clients can also access exposure therapy, behavioral activation, mindfulness-based therapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR availability varies by provider and location.
When Therapy Needs a Teammate
Columbia Mental Health’s Woodbridge team offers in-person care and telehealth through therapists, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. Medication management can be used with or without therapy. Psychiatric services may also include transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and Spravato for certain conditions. The clinic is just off Prince William Parkway, across from the Prince William Government Center and near Earl M. Cunard Park.
