About Evans Counseling Group - Denver Highlands
A therapy practice serving individuals, couples, families, children, and teens, Evans Counseling Group addresses mental health, relationship, and substance use concerns through in-person and virtual care. Therapists work with anxiety, trauma, ADHD, neurodivergence, grief, eating disorders, substance use, and relationship challenges, while matching treatment to the person’s age, goals, history, and presenting concerns. The practice sees clients at 2 Denver locations and through telehealth across Colorado.
Age-Specific and Relationship-Based Therapy
Therapists adjust treatment based on who comes to therapy and what brings them in. They may use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), or other approaches that fit the concern. Child therapists adapt sessions to developmental stage and may involve parents, while couples and family therapists work with communication, conflict, trust, parenting concerns, and changing family relationships.
Language, Identity, and Recovery Services
Spanish-speaking therapists can conduct entire sessions in Spanish, while other clinicians provide LGBTQ+ affirming and neurodivergent-affirming therapy and work with veterans, active-duty service members, and military families. Addiction counselors provide outpatient substance use counseling for people beginning to address their use, maintaining recovery, or stepping down from inpatient treatment. They may use motivational interviewing, CBT, trauma-informed care, and relapse prevention as part of that work.
