About Ellie Mental Health - Midlothian
The Ellie Mental Health office in Midlothian supports children, teens, and adults with concerns that affect mood, behavior, relationships, and daily life. Their 8-person team has experience working with veterans, neurodivergent clients, and the LGBTQ+ community, including people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and grief. Clients receive individual, couples, and family therapy through in-person or telehealth appointments, with hours Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.–7 p.m. and Saturday by appointment.
Tailoring Therapy to Personal Needs
Ellie Mental Health Midlothian matches clients with therapists based on their needs, preferences, and availability. Therapists address complex concerns like autism, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), addiction, and self-harm, as well as family and relationship challenges. Therapists also understand experiences related to gender identity, parenting, chronic health concerns, and military life, helping clients work with someone whose experience aligns with the support they are seeking.
Drawing From Diverse Approaches
Therapists shape sessions around each client rather than following one treatment model. They draw from approaches that fit each client’s concerns and preferences, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), alongside creative and holistic approaches. Clients may also explore feelings through art or play, practice mindfulness, or use somatic experiencing, allowing therapists to adapt sessions for different ages, concerns, and treatment goals.
