Sandstone Care Virginia Detox offers medically monitored detox for a variety of substances. During 5-21 days of treatment, clients detox and begin therapeutic treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders. Sandstone Care facilitates a full continuum of care with referrals to residential treatment centers, outpatient, and extended care options like intensive outpatient programs (IOP).
The staff at Sandstone Care Virginia Detox monitor detox 24/7. A medical doctor, psychiatrist, psychiatric nurses, case managers, and addiction counselors collaborate to help make sure each client progresses well. A therapist or counselor checks in once a day during treatment. Clients also have 2 individual therapy sessions each week. Sandstone Care Detox provides 6 hours of clinical groups each day as well. Their daily schedule includes time for therapy, learning, and rest.
Sandstone Care Virginia Detox welcomes 24 clients at a time, keeping their treatment individualized and their groups small. Clients share a room with one other, or can opt to have a semi-private room. Sandstone Care’s culinary team creates and serves nutritious meals family-style.

Sandstone Care Virginia Detox facilitates a range of evaluations after clients stabilize. Usually done within the first 48 hours, their medical, psychiatric, and psychological assessments look to the past and present to make accurate diagnoses. Sandstone also uses clients’ assessment results to guide and inform treatment.
Sandstone Care supervises detox around the clock. Nurses check symptoms and vitals every 4 hours, at minimum, while also being on-call 24/7. Sandstone prescribes medication as needed for greater comfort. After clients stabilize, therapeutic work begins. Clients have 6 hours of clinical groups each day, helping them address the causes of their addiction and learn new coping tools.
Sandstone Care Virginia Detox treats co-occurring disorders, or a mental health condition and addiction.
