About WestBridge - The Commons
Opened in 2005, WestBridge The Commons is a 12-bed residential program located in a renovated historic home in Manchester, New Hampshire, that helps adults with mental health conditions and substance use disorders (SUD) build skills for long-term recovery through residential treatment. The program combines psychiatric care, medication management, independent living skills, and 24/7 support in a home-like setting. Residents stay an average of three months, with treatment tailored to each person's needs. WestBridge also offers day treatment and intensive outpatient programs (IOP).
Learning Through Evidence-Based Care
WestBridge The Commons combines integrated dual disorder treatment (IDDT) with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), family education, and medication management. Throughout the week, participants can attend groups that focuses on coping skills, relapse prevention, communication, nutrition, vocational planning, wellness, and symptom management while building routines that support life after treatment.
A Community That Encourages Growth
Residents at WestBridge - follow a consistent daily routine. Clients share meals, practice household responsibilities, attend wellness groups, participate in community outings, and builds communication, relationship, and vocational skills alongside their clinical care. Family members are encouraged to stay involve through education and support, while transition planning begins at admission to prepare clients for the Community Integration Program (CIP), day treatment, intensive outpatient care, or services closer to home.
