The Rose House
About The Rose House
Founded in 2007 by psychologist Dr. Marcie Chambers, The Rose House is a privately owned, women-only residential treatment program specializing in mental health, trauma, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions. Designed for a minimum of 90 days, women have the opportunity to move beyond crisis stabilization and symptom management to address the underlying emotional wounds, patterns, and behaviors that interfere with their well-being.
Intensive, Trauma-Focused Care
The Rose House combines evidence-based clinical practices with experiential and holistic approaches. Treatment includes EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Gestalt therapy, inner child work, and equine-assisted therapy. Women participate in a structured therapeutic schedule that includes individual therapy, group processing, psychoeducation, psychiatric care, family involvement, community activities, recovery support, physical wellness, and life-skills development.
Recovery Happens Within a Community
The Rose House offers a small, 17-bed residential environment where community is part of the treatment experience. Women live and learn together, sharing bedrooms, meals, household responsibilities, and therapeutic experiences. This community model gives women opportunities to practice accountability, conflict resolution, healthy boundaries, and communication in everyday situations.
Extended Care in a Peaceful Colorado Setting
Following residential treatment, eligible women can transition into continuing care that includes lower levels of clinical support, transitional housing, and ongoing community support for up to six additional months. The Rose House sits on four acres in Boulder County, Colorado, with Rocky Mountain views, gardens, walking paths, meditation areas, and access to fitness and outdoor recreation. The program is licensed by the State of Colorado and accredited by The Joint Commission.
