Double Peak Recovery

Double Peak Recovery is a six-bed detox and residential treatment program in Escondido, and they can often admit the same day. The team helps people with alcohol, opioids, stimulants, benzodiazepines, kratom, 7-OH, and other substances, as well as gambling, plus the depression, anxiety, and trauma that often come with them. Clients begin with medical detox and stay in the same place for residential care as they build a life worth staying sober for.

Get Treated Like a Person, Not a Caseload

Double Peak only has space for six clients, and that’s on purpose. Staff know every client by name, so they are tuned into each person’s needs. If something needs to change, they change it right then instead of waiting for a meeting. Clients start with detox and stay in the same building for residential care, so the faces are familiar. A psychiatrist oversees everything, and peer-led 12-step meetings give clients a look at what lasting recovery can look like.

Heal in Comfort, Surrounded by Southern California

At Double Peak, every room has its own bathroom and comfortable queen beds with high-end mattresses, so clients can sleep well. Each day starts with morning meditation, and there’s a gym on site for staying active. Clients also get out to enjoy Southern California, with trips to Carlsbad’s beach and lagoon, the Self-Realization Fellowship in Encinitas, a botanical garden, Balboa Park, art museums, and plenty of hikes.

Walk Out With a Plan and a Community

Planning for life after treatment is top of mind at Double Peak. The team figures out what tends to trip each person up, then builds a plan to handle it. That includes help finding a good sober living home in San Diego, so clients have a steady place to land if needed. Staff also set up therapy and medical care with outside providers, so they are well taken care of. After graduation, the alumni program keeps clients connected to each other so they are not living in isolation.
