Breakthrough Recovery Centre

Set steps from the shoreline of Georgian Bay, Breakthrough Recovery Centre provides private residential care for adults ages 18 and older experiencing substance use disorders (SUD), primary mental health conditions, behavioural addictions including compulsive gambling and compulsive sexual behaviours, and dual diagnosis, with on-site medically supervised detox that transitions into residential care when clinically appropriate. Private and shared room options are available within a structured live-in environment managed with continuous clinical oversight. Residential programs begin at 4 weeks, with 6, 8, and 12 week options available based on clinical assessments and ongoing progress.

Individualized Clinical Treatment

Following admission, each client receives an individualized treatment plan based on a comprehensive clinical assessment. The program includes 2 sessions each week with a primary counsellor, 1 session each week with a secondary counsellor, and 2 dedicated psychotherapy sessions weekly. Individual counselling, individual psychotherapy, group therapy, trauma-informed care, psychoeducation, psychiatric services, and medication management when clinically indicated are coordinated throughout treatment. Family sessions and separate therapy for 1 designated loved one are available when clinically appropriate.

Structured Residential Recovery

As treatment progresses, clients participate in recovery education, relapse prevention planning, emotional regulation, impulse control, and life skills development while receiving ongoing clinical monitoring within a structured daily schedule. The residential program maintains 24-hour supervision, and clients remain on-site unless participating in planned, staff-supervised clinical outings, providing consistency, accountability, and continuity from stabilization through discharge plan.
