Providing culturally responsive behavioral health care, Riverside San Bernardino Indian Health, Inc. (RSBCIHI) - Soboba Clinic helps Native American and Alaska Native individuals and families address mental health concerns, substance use disorders, trauma, and emotional challenges. Services include mental health and substance use assessments, outpatient counseling for adults, adolescents, and children, referrals for continuing care, and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) with Suboxone. Founded in 1968, RSBCIHI has grown into California’s largest Indian health program, serving an affiliation of nine tribes across Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

Blending Clinical Care with Cultural Healing

Soboba Indian Health Clinic’s approach combines professional behavioral health services with culturally relevant programs that honor Native traditions and experiences. Clients can participate in Talking Circles, historical trauma education, family prevention events, wellness classes, and Native community programs that promote healing and resilience. Additional services include crisis intervention, victim advocacy, family support, substance use prevention, and telehealth appointments, allowing clients to access care from home while staying connected to culturally grounded resources.

Supporting Individuals, Families, and Communities

Behavioral health services are delivered through outpatient clinics and community-based programs designed to strengthen individuals, families, and tribal communities. RSBCIHI offers specialized initiatives such as the Tribal Opioid Response Program, Native Connections, the 988 Tribal Response Program, and the Celebrating Families Program, an 11-week family healing program that combines Native teachings with wellness education.
