About Recovery Counseling Services
Recovery Counseling Services is a CARF-accredited and state-licensed outpatient clinic offering comprehensive behavioral health support to adults 18 and older. It is part of Recovery Network of Programs (RNP), which has served the Greater Bridgeport community for decades. The program emphasizes a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and gender-aware approach, ensuring individualized care tailored to each person’s background and needs.
Integrated and Structured Care
Recovery Counseling Services offers a range of outpatient treatment levels: an intensive outpatient program (IOP) and a standard outpatient program (OP). IOP involves frequent therapy sessions (individual, couple, family, or group) multiple times per week, ideal for those transitioning from inpatient care or needing heightened support, while OP offers weekly therapy sessions for those requiring less-intensive care. Additional services include on-site psychiatric evaluation and care, crisis intervention, and holistic support including substance use counseling, mental health care, and gambling counseling.
Individualized Planning That Improves Outcomes
This clinic serves adults facing substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health challenges, or problem gambling, including individuals coming out of residential treatment or those seeking outpatient support from the start. Treatment begins with a comprehensive assessment to create a client-centered plan, which may include referrals to detox, inpatient, or residential services if necessary. Throughout care, the program aims to reduce substance use, improve mental health functioning, and support long-term stability through relapse prevention, life-skills development, and integrated health support.
