About Footprints to Recovery New Jersey
Footprints to Recovery New Jersey helps clients take their first steps, then longer strides, to walk a sober path on their own. Clients find evidence-based outpatient programs, tailored to their needs, goals, and circumstances. Footprints’ comprehensive approach addresses the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—to guide clients through recovery with empathy, respect, and compassion.
Experience Traditional & Alternative Therapies
Footprints’ clinical program includes traditional therapies like individual, group, and family therapy that use a range of evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing (MI). In doing so, they help clients address underlying issues and develop healthy coping mechanisms. They also incorporate alternative therapies like eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), massage therapy, yoga, acupuncture, chiropractic services, psychodrama, and fitness sessions to promote overall wellness. These approaches plus their other unique offerings like horticultural therapy, reiki, and equine-assisted therapy ensure something for every client.
Move Forward With the Right Level of Care
Footprints to Recovery offers 3 levels of outpatient treatment, allowing clients to focus on recovery while living at home or in sober living and maintaining daily responsibilities. In day treatment (also called partial hospitalization, PHP), clients attend treatment 4-6 hours a day, 5 days a week, for individual therapy sessions, group therapy, experiential approaches, and addiction education. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) provides 9-15 hours of treatment per week and includes individual and group sessions. Their outpatient program (OP) offers 3 hours of treatment once or twice weekly.
Find Support & Encouragement as an Alum
Footprints provides continuing care and resources to clients who have finished their outpatient program. Clients receive an individualized aftercare plan that can help them stay sober as they return to everyday life. Their alumni program also provides a strong support system with weekly support meetings, monthly sober outings, routine check-ins with alumni coordinators, community service opportunities, and an exclusive Facebook community.
