About FPHSA Slidell Behavioral Health Clinic
Just minutes from Interstate 10 near Carey Street, the Slidell Behavioral Health Clinic is an outpatient clinic supporting adults and children with mental health conditions and substance use disorder. It is part of Florida Parishes Human Services Authority (FPHSA), a local public behavioral health authority serving a five-parish region in southeastern Louisiana with community-based mental health, addiction, and developmental disability services. Services address depression, anxiety, trauma, serious mental illness, and addiction through outpatient and intensive outpatient care (IOP). Programming includes assessment, therapy, medication management, and evening addiction groups.
The clinic is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., serving residents of eastern Saint Tammany Parish with mental health and addiction services, including evening groups for addiction treatment.
Strengthen Stability Through Care
Care is grounded in a person-centered, evidence-based approach that supports long-term recovery and emotional stability. Clinicians use individual, group, and family therapy alongside psychiatric medication management and coordinated health services. Treatment plans are built around each person’s goals, strengths, and clinical needs. Peer support and case management help clients stay engaged, reduce barriers to care, and build practical skills that support wellness in daily life.
Support Recovery Without Disruption
In addition to clinical treatment, the clinic offers specialized addiction services that include medications for opioid use disorder, tobacco cessation, and gambling counseling. Evening groups allow working adults to access support without disrupting employment or family responsibilities. Crisis coordination, referrals to residential treatment, and access to naloxone strengthen safety and continuity of care.
Center Overview

Supportive Medication for Recovery
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based approach that pairs FDA-approved medications with counseling to treat addiction. The medications are used to reduce cravings, ease withdrawal symptoms, or block the effects of substances. More about MAT
Methadone
Naltrexone
Buprenorphine
Note: Treatment centers offer different forms of MAT—such as oral tablets, dissolvable films, or monthly injections—and their policies can vary based on state regulations, provider preferences, and insurance coverage. Because of these differences, it's best to contact the center directly to learn what options are available and what might be right for your situation.
