Since 1879, Family Services has supported Hudson Valley communities by making counseling and mental health care easier to access, alongside comprehensive programs that support individuals and families. Serving as the primary entry point in Dutchess County, Family Services' Poughkeepsie Behavioral Center provides accessible care near community resources and other Family Services programs. Providing convenient and a well-connected setting helps teens, adults, and families connect with ongoing support.
Flexible Care and Connections
Centered on assuring access for all, the Poughkeepsie Behavioral Health Center offers walk-in access that allows individuals to begin services quickly, while evening and telehealth provide flexibility for those managing school, or family commitments. Clients receive comprehensive care through including individual, group, and family therapy alongside psychiatric evaluations and medication management from experienced providers. As part of the Family Services network, clients can also accessspecialized programs such as RESTART for eligible individuals, supporting reintegration and stability. The children’s and teen services provide support for young people and families, promoting early intervention and long-term recovery. Services are available regardless of insurance or income, ensuring that care remains accessible for all.
