Clearview Outpatient - Woodland Hills

Clearview Outpatient Woodland Hills offers day treatment for adults 18 and older, on Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills, in the San Fernando Valley. Treatment focuses on depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD and trauma, borderline personality disorder, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts. The team also works with clients who have co-occurring autism, and most people here are managing more than one diagnosis at once. Care is LGBTQIA+-affirming, so clients can show up as themselves without worrying about being judged.

Stepping Down Without Starting Over

The team starts by meeting clients where they are. Some begin in the partial hospitalization program (PHP), which runs about 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. Others start in the intensive outpatient program (IOP), about 3 hours a day, 3-5 days a week. Clients can move between levels as their needs change, and the same clinicians stay with them the whole way. Nobody has to start over or retell their story to someone new.

What a Day Looks Like

A day in PHP is a mix of group and 1-on-1 work. Clients might learn a dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skill for calming down in a crisis, then practice it with peers in a group. Later, they might act out a hard conversation in psychodrama or work through something in art therapy. Individual therapy and psychiatric support are part of the week, too. At the end of the day, clients head home and try those skills in real life.

Being Part of a Larger Network

Clearview is part of Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare, a group of mental health programs across several states. In California alone, Clearview runs outpatient clinics in 7 cities, with an 8th opening in Sacramento. Clearview also offers residential treatment, so clients who need more support than day treatment can step up to a higher level of care without leaving the network.
