About Centerstone - Columbia - Behavioral Health Crisis Center
Connecting care with community, Centerstone provides outpatient behavioral health services for adults across Missouri, including therapy, counseling, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and substance use recovery. The behavioral crisis center offers 24/7 walk-in crisis care for adults (18+), immediate psychiatric care, up to 24-hour observation, and referrals for follow-up treatment.
Finding Support for Life’s Challenges
Therapists address depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder, trauma, stress, and other challenges that affect daily life. Adults who need more intensive addiction treatment can enroll in the intensive outpatient program (IOP), while outpatient intervention services connect clients with peer support and case management.
Practicing Self-Care and Everyday Skills
Through the community psychiatric rehabilitation (CPR) program, they deliver daily services in the community while participants continue living in their own homes. They help participants build life skills, strengthen self-care practices, and develop strategies for managing everyday needs.

Supportive Medication for Recovery
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based approach that pairs FDA-approved medications with counseling to treat addiction. The medications are used to reduce cravings, ease withdrawal symptoms, or block the effects of substances. More about MAT
Methadone
Naltrexone
Buprenorphine
Note: Treatment centers offer different forms of MAT—such as oral tablets, dissolvable films, or monthly injections—and their policies can vary based on state regulations, provider preferences, and insurance coverage. Because of these differences, it's best to contact the center directly to learn what options are available and what might be right for your situation.
