About Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital
Serving the community since 1976, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital treats adults facing addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other mental health conditions. They provide inpatient stabilization, day treatment (PHP), outpatient therapy, and addiction recovery services. Their programs focus on crisis support, relapse prevention, and helping clients safely transition back into daily life with continued care and community support.
Hospital-Based Healing and Recovery
Treatment plans are personalized and may include individual, group, family, and marital therapy, along with psychiatric assessments and medication support. Through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and structured care, clients build coping skills, practice relapse prevention strategies, and learn to better manage symptoms in daily life. Psychiatrists, counselors, nurses, therapists, and social workers work together to support emotional wellness and daily functioning. All Advocate hospitals also provide chaplains who offer spiritual care for people of all faiths, cultural backgrounds, and those without a religious affiliation.
Community and Peer-Based Support
Compassionate and community-focused, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital also includes recovery advocates as part of the treatment team. These are people who have personally experienced mental illness recovery or supported a loved one through recovery. They provide peer understanding, encouragement, and real-life insight during treatment. The hospital also offers pet therapy, caregiver support groups, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapy for depression, along with behavioral health services for children, couples, families, and employers.
