Divided Sky

Divided Sky is a nonprofit residential recovery program in Ludlow, Vermont, rooted in the 12 Steps, mindfulness, community, and emotional sobriety. Their 30-day, non-clinical program welcomes adults ages 20 and older who are medically stable and ready to embrace abstinence-based recovery. Their model helps guests restore their sense of dignity and find hope in the possibility of a joyful, sober life.

Foster Joy to Support Lasting Sobriety

Divided Sky provides an immersive, educational experience where guests develop the skills to reconnect with themselves and what makes life meaningful. Group-based programming emphasizes:

• Developing emotional steadiness to respond with intention rather than reactivity
• Building resilience to navigate stress, cravings, and unhelpful thought patterns
• Making the 12 Steps relevant to everyday life

Guests can also explore creative expression through art and music, nature walks, forest bathing, yoga, and family engagement.

Rest, Eat, and Heal in a Special Place

Set in the Vermont countryside overlooking Okemo Mountain, Divided Sky offers guests the space to breathe a little deeper and connect with nature. Guests share rooms, with women’s rooms occupying a separate loft area. The campus has a gym, instruments waiting to be played, and cozy nooks and peaceful outdoor areas for reflection and connection. Nourishing home-cooked meals remind guests that self-love is also what they put into their bodies.

Prepare for Life Beyond the Mountain

Thirty days can be a meaningful beginning as guests build awareness, practice new skills, and begin developing supportive routines and relationships. Divided Sky’s aftercare team helps guests prepare for what comes next, while the alumni community offers ongoing connection and encouragement through in-person and online meetings. People with at least one year of continuous sobriety are welcome to join Recovery Recharge, a weeklong intensive to reset or dive deeper.
