Situated in the beautiful northern California area between Pebble Beach, Carmel, and Monterey near the Big Sur coast, Alsana Monterey is dedicated to helping adults of all genders those struggling with eating disorders like anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, ARFID, OSFED, and diabulimia, as well as trauma and co-occurring disorders.

Reclaim Identity in Recovery

Providers refer patients to Alsana when outpatient care isn't creating meaningful progress. Treatment plans are structured around the Recovery Story framework, which views recovery as a multi-chapter journey within a client's life story. By positioning clients as the main characters of their healing, the program helps individuals disconnect their identity from the eating disorder and maintain accountability toward personal recovery goals.

Alsana's residential program includes an eating disorder evaluation, 24/7 care with on-site nursing, and weekly sessions with a care team: two 1-on-1 sessions with a primary therapist, 2 sessions with a primary dietitian to address struggles with food, 1 psychiatry session, 1 nursing assessment, and 1 supportive-other session, along with 5 group sessions per day. Alsana also offers specialized programs, including LGBTQ+-affirming care, vegan-friendly options, and 2-week intensive plans.
