1000 Islands Addiction Treatment Centre offers personalized care along the Thousand Islands Parkway in Mallorytown, Ontario, on the St. Lawrence River. Care begins with an in-depth assessment and safe, medically supervised detox, then moves into inpatient treatment that addresses the emotional and mental health side of addiction alongside the substance use itself. When clients leave, aftercare support continues to back their recovery.

Personalise Recovery from Day One

Before anyone arrives, a psychological assessment helps the clinical team build a plan around that person's story, whether they're coming in for alcohol, opioids, or another substance, and even when they have complex medical needs. Each week, clients have 3 individual sessions where they meet one-on-one with addiction counsellors and a psychotherapist, then bring what they're learning into group therapy. The core programme runs 42 days, and some clients stay longer if needed.

Rest and Recharge Among the Trees

At 1000 Islands, clients settle into a private or semi-private room, each with its own bathroom, on grounds along the St. Lawrence River. The feel here is cosy and personal. Between sessions, there’s room to move and reset: find calm in the yoga studio, shoot hoops, play tennis, or work out in the gym. It’s a peaceful place to rest, reflect, and rebuild strength, one day at a time.

Stay Connected After Treatment

After treatment ends, clients can join weekly aftercare groups, onsite or online, and check in weekly with their addiction counsellor for a month to talk through the move home and the early challenges of recovery. If needed, a simple assessment helps decide how much support fits each person, including step-down care, and extra virtual options are available as well. Alumni days and an app keep graduates connected to the 1000 Islands family.
