Canadian Addiction Treatment Centres
Canadian Addiction Treatment Centres (CATC) has provided addiction care across Canada since 1995, growing into the country's largest network of recovery programs for substance use and addiction. Today, CATC operates more than 80 outpatient and inpatient locations, including rapid access treatment centres, specialized pharmacies, and residential facilities, across Ontario, British Columbia, and New Brunswick. Accredited by both Accreditation Canada and CARF International, CATC puts patients and communities first at every stage of recovery.Three Decades of Expanding AccessCATC opened its doors in Ontario in 1995 to meet an urgent need for accessible opioid use disorder treatment at a time when few options existed. That original clinic grew steadily as demand for barrier-free, judgment-free care spread across the province and beyond. More than 30 years later, CATC remains grounded in the belief that patients' success is the organization's success.Meeting People Where They AreCATC's care spans the full continuum, from same-day outpatient starts to residential treatment. Medication-assisted options such as methadone, buprenorphine, and Sublocade pair with medically supervised detoxification, and residential stays run 30 to 90 days based on what each person needs. Master’s-level therapists lead one-on-one and group counselling, while weekly family sessions bring loved ones into the process. A fully virtual program and harm reduction services, including naloxone kits, widen access for people who cannot attend in person.Committed to Clients Beyond DischargeCATC's commitment continues well past discharge. Continuing care plans are built before patients leave residential treatment, and an alumni community keeps former clients connected after treatment ends. Nearly 2,500 people have completed the inpatient program to date, and CATC reports that 98% leave with an improved quality of life, an outcome central to how CATC measures whether its care is working.
