About Westwind Counselling
Westwind was founded in 1998 as Canada's first private eating disorder treatment centre. Since opening their doors, Westwind has continued to flourish and grow, providing a safe place to heal. Their well developed program is available for women from around the world ages 19 and older. Westwind's unique treatment experience includes personalized treatment plans in a comfortable environment. Clients partake in individual counseling along with 1-on-1 sessions with a registered dietitian to help develop nutritional goals, discuss challenges and fears, and learn about nutrition for long-term recovery. Group sessions are held 3 times daily and include nutrition education, mindfulness, meditation, yoga, goal setting, restaurant outings, art therapy, body image and exercise, and so much more. Westwind Counseling also provides an online recovery program called R.I.S.E where clients can engage in tele-health services in the comfort of their own home. The R.I.S.E. program is open to all genders ages 17 and up. The online program includes daily meal support, 3 weekly groups, and a weekly 1-on-1 session with a dietitian and counsellor.
Westwind Counseling's home can accommodate up to 6 guests, making individual attention easy to come by. Clients will also have their own bedroom, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the home. In addition, clients are welcome to bring a laptop and personal cell phone with them to treatment. Their Kelowna home has a spacious outdoor patio and outdoor pool for clients to enjoy.
