About Workit Health Texas
Built as an app-based alternative to traditional substance use treatment, they connect adults across all 254 Texas counties with Texas-licensed clinicians, medication care, and ongoing recovery support from home. The team treats opioid and alcohol use disorders and kratom or 7-OH dependence and can address co-occurring anxiety, depression, and insomnia when appropriate. They follow a harm-reduction approach and provide LGBTQ+-affirming care without requiring routine visits to a treatment center.
Access Treatment Through One Virtual Program
Clients sign up through the Workit app and meet a Texas-licensed prescriber by video. The clinician reviews their health history, substance use, medications, symptoms, and goals to determine whether medication fits their needs. They may prescribe Suboxone, a combination of buprenorphine and naloxone, for opioid use disorder or kratom and 7-OH dependence. For alcohol use disorder, clinicians may prescribe acamprosate to support abstinence or naltrexone, including the Sinclair Method for clients who want to reduce their drinking.
Build Recovery Skills Between Visits
Clients typically meet their care team monthly to review medication, progress, and changing needs. Between visits, they can message the team, join guided recovery groups, connect with peers, and complete self-paced therapeutic courses. Groups and courses draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), mindfulness, and relapse prevention to help clients manage triggers and build coping skills. A kratom-specific member forum provides added peer support, and clients can complete remote drug screening when required, keeping ongoing treatment accessible from home.

Center Overview

Supportive Medication for Recovery
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based approach that pairs FDA-approved medications with counseling to treat addiction. The medications are used to reduce cravings, ease withdrawal symptoms, or block the effects of substances. More about MAT
Methadone
Naltrexone
Buprenorphine
Note: Treatment centers offer different forms of MAT—such as oral tablets, dissolvable films, or monthly injections—and their policies can vary based on state regulations, provider preferences, and insurance coverage. Because of these differences, it's best to contact the center directly to learn what options are available and what might be right for your situation.
