Tennessee’s first clinic licensed to deliver Suboxone treatment entirely through telemedicine, Recovery Care of Columbia provides fully virtual opioid addiction treatment for adults 18 and older across the state. The program treats opioid use disorder tied to prescription painkillers, heroin, fentanyl, kratom, and 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH), with same-day appointments available on weekdays. Recovery Care of Columbia accepts all TennCare Medicaid plans, most major commercial insurance plans, self-pay, and sliding-scale payment options without requiring in-person clinic visits.

Medication, Counseling, and Case Management Online

Recovery Care of Columbia combines Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) treatment, master’s-level counseling, and case management through secure video appointments and the Spruce Health mobile app. Certified under TennCare’s BeSMART and BMAT programs, the clinical team includes a double board-certified addiction specialist, licensed nurse practitioners, licensed clinical social workers, and licensed professional counselors. Patients attend biweekly or monthly follow-up appointments, receive prescription coordination, and communicate with staff through direct messaging in the Spruce Health app.

How Each Appointment Runs

Patients complete a secure online intake form before scheduling, and intake packets submitted before noon CST are often reviewed for same-day appointments. During treatment, patients complete two video appointments, one with a counselor and one with a medical provider, before prescriptions are electronically sent to a local pharmacy or shipped overnight to the patient’s home. Recovery Care of Columbia operates Monday through Friday, with evening telemedicine appointments available until 9 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.
