About Thira Health
Thira Health is a unique outpatient treatment program helping women, teen girls, and gender non-conforming individuals struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, self-harm, and other co-occurring mental health conditions. Guided by a team of experts, Thira treats the specific needs of women and girls using tried-and-true treatment approaches rooted in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). Their compassionate staff includes trained, certified professionals in therapy, art, movement, nutrition, and more, making it possible for us to fulfill their purpose and support the uniqueness of each patient.
Thira Health provides varying levels of outpatient care, including morning and evening intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP). Their morning IOP program is ideal for adults and teens needing support for anxiety and depression, interfering with their daily lives, but not a level that demands more intensive treatment. The PHP program offers a more intensive style of support for eating disorders, running every day from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., every day from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., every day from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
Thira Health also offers a unique retreat-like setting located in the quiet woodlands of Bellevue, Washington. While the adult participants attend expert-led treatment programs at their primary treatment facility, the Retreat is intended to complement and enrich the therapy process. Patients participating in this program are transported to the retreat setting in Bellevue each day. Here, participants can engage in DBT therapy, nutritional counseling, yoga, meditation, and more. This inspiring setting provides a cozy and peaceful hideaway surrounded by the forest enhancing treatment and ultimate long-term recovery.
