About South Platte Counseling
With in-person sessions in Englewood and telehealth across Colorado, South Platte Counseling works with adults experiencing trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, betrayal, and major life transitions. Care addresses alcohol, prescription medication, illegal drug, and substance concerns, along with sex, love, and pornography addiction. They tailor counseling to the concerns each adult brings, including challenges that overlap across trauma, relationships, substance use, and major life changes.
Explore Patterns Through Counseling
Their relational, client-centered approach draws from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Gestalt therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, mindfulness, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and tapping. For substance concerns, counselors explore what alcohol or drugs do for each person and help identify healthier alternatives. When addressing alcohol use, they support responsible drinking or maintaining sobriety based on each person's situation and goals.
Coordinate Care for Complex Concerns
South Platte Counseling addresses dependence involving pain, anti-anxiety, stimulant, and sleep medications, working with clients and medical providers to develop safe recovery plans. A dedicated sex, love, and pornography addiction counseling addresses behavioral concerns alongside the relational and emotional experiences connected to them. They also support caregiver stress and other significant life changes through counseling that considers each person's experiences, relationships, and goals.
