About Ellie Mental Health - Independence
Near U.S. Highway 40 and Interstate 70 in east Independence, Ellie Mental Health makes mental health care accessible and inclusive through individual, couples, and marriage therapy, with a 13-person provider team addressing concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, life changes, grief and loss, and burnout.
Choose From Evidence-Based Therapies
The intake process starts with a short assessment that helps the front desk match clients with therapists based on specialties and treatment style. Therapists integrate approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), biofeedback, discernment counseling, art therapy, Gottman training, relational life therapy, yoga/breathwork, existential therapy, Adlerian therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.
Access Inclusive and Responsive Care
Ellie also addresses diverse client needs through gender-affirming care, health-at-every-size (HAES) and intuitive eating approaches, autism and neurodiversity-focused support, postpartum and perinatal care, and culturally responsive services for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC clients. They also work with first responders, service members, veterans and their families, and geeks through special interest-based therapy. The clinic operates Monday to Sunday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
