Located north of Martin Luther King Jr Park, Ellie Mental Health Asheville-Central provides outpatient mental health care at 77 Central Ave, Suite C, in Asheville, North Carolina. They offer individual, family, couples/marriage, in-person, and telehealth therapy. They address anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, addiction, grief, self-harm, trauma, relationship concerns, and postpartum or perinatal mental health. They also work with veterans, military families, first responders, LGBTQ+ clients, neurodivergent clients, people affected by domestic abuse or sexual assault, and clients seeking gender-affirming care. They operate Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Therapy Approaches and Clinical Services
Clinicians use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), motivational interviewing (MI), internal family systems (IFS), TF-CBT, exposure therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, somatic experiencing, play therapy, art therapy, narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy. Treatment may address family conflict and relapse prevention alongside other mental health concerns. Clients meet with therapists in the office or through telehealth based on the services available to them.
Scheduling, Telehealth, and Payment
Extended weekday hours give clients more options for scheduling therapy around work, school, and family responsibilities. Telehealth allows clients to attend appointments without traveling to the Asheville office. They accept self-pay and offer a sliding-scale fee.
