Located along Shoal Creek, Bright Light Counseling Center provides outpatient therapy for teens and adults at its Central Austin office in Shoal Creek Professional Center, with teletherapy available across Texas. Therapists work with anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), grief, chronic illness, chronic pain, relationship concerns, identity concerns, stress, and life transitions. Therapy Methods and Services
Therapists use eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, attachment-based therapy, interpersonal therapy, psychodynamic therapy, person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, relational-cultural therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills when clinically relevant. Trauma treatment may begin with stabilization and coping skills before trauma processing.
