Because insurance policies and benefits vary greatly, we recommend that you provide The Meadows Adolescent Center with the patient’s insurance information prior to arrival on campus, so that our staff can obtain an estimate of your benefits. Your insurance carrier or managed care company will ultimately determine the suitability of care based on presenting issue(s) and may certify a portion of a patient’s stay.
About The Meadows Adolescent Center
Opening in May of 2023, The Meadows will extend their renowned treatment to include residential care for teenage boys. The Meadows offers a low 1:1 staff to patient ratio, making each patient’s treatment thorough and personalized. The residential treatment is for any boy who deals with unresolved trauma, addiction to drugs, alcohol, internet, gaming, porn or mental health conditions that have derailed them off course. Their master’s level therapists, teachers and medical professionals view each patient holistically, taking into account co-occurring disorders that are contributing to the patient’s dysfunction. The Meadows accepts most insurance and will work to obtain maximum benefits.
Treatment at the Meadows consists of more than endless therapy sessions. Rather than only using traditional talk therapies, the team uses acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), eye movement therapy (EMDR), somatic experiencing, internal family systems (IFS), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) to foster healing. They also offer outdoor activities that have a therapeutic component including wilderness therapy, equine therapy, ropes courses and pickleball to name a few. In addition to the effective therapies, they provide healthy, organic meals that are proven to reduce anxiety and depressive symptoms.
The Meadows offers a unique brain center that provides the boys with opportunities to practice self-regulation skills. Because teenagers’ brains are changing, they can be rewired to help create new neural pathways that result in healthy coping skills. They offer neurofeedback, CES stimulation, heart rate variability and a chi machine. These forms of therapy are especially useful in helping with process addictions such as gambling, porn, or internet addiction.
