Sober Living Support

The Calm set out to greatly reduce the chance of relapse by creating a supportive, welcoming sober living environment. The Calm is an ideal place for individuals in the early stages of recovery looking for additional support from like-minded peers. During their stay, clients will have the opportunity to engage in individual counseling, the 12-Steps, Refuge Recovery, or SMART group therapy. A gym membership, massage, breakfast, cooking classes, and adventure outings are all a part of the program to help clients have fun in recovery and learn healthy coping skills. Volunteer opportunities are also available, like learning how to teach English and helping local children in nearby villages. The program itself offers a healthy balance of structure and free time. Morning exercise is followed by breakfast, meditation practices, one-on-one sessions, and group therapy with free-time allowed from 1pm-5pm.

The Calm is located in the culturally rich city of Chiang Mai, Thailand. This unique location allows for fun weekend excursions, like hiking in the mountains, exploring hidden waterfalls, and visiting small villages. Residents can also take part in a variety of activities, including fishing, pottery classes, dancing, drama, and more.
