The Well
About The Well
The Well is a men's sober living residence in Danbury, Connecticut, built for men rebuilding their lives away from the surroundings that reinforced active addiction. The Connecticut Alliance of Recovery Residences (CTARR) certified home pairs a substance-free environment with structure and accountability, giving residents a stable base to continue recovery from alcohol and drug addiction after treatment, inpatient care, or by self-referral, with flexible move-in timing.
Build Structure and Accountability
Each day follows a set routine of chores, curfews, and mandatory twelve-step or SMART Recovery meetings. Random breathalyzer and urinalysis testing keeps the home substance-free, while a live-in house manager and recovery coaches check in regularly, offering guidance rather than oversight alone. Men arrive from intensive outpatient programs (IOP), inpatient treatment, or self-referral, moving in through prorated monthly rent as soon as a bed opens.
Reconnect with Daily Life
Residents share fully furnished rooms with Wi-Fi and on-site laundry, and build relationships with other men working through similar recovery goals side by side. Located near Danbury's public transit and employers, the residence helps men re-enter the workforce and reconnect with daily life on their own terms. Beds open on a rolling basis, with move-in arranged directly through the home.
