Their treatment follows 5 structured phases, beginning with medically supervised detox and stabilization before progressing through insight, relapse prevention, deeper therapeutic work, and reintegration. They integrate psychiatric care with individual and group therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), trauma-focused therapy, and family involvement.
