About OVP Health Recovery Center - Massillon
Offering medically supervised inpatient addiction treatment for adults, OVP Health Recovery Center in South Point is an 80-bed residential facility for people with substance use disorder (SUD). The program provides detox support, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), 24/7 nursing care, and structured daily programming for adults who need more support than outpatient treatment can provide.
Clients live on-site in double-occupancy rooms with same-gender roommates while participating in therapy, recovery education, and life-skills development.
Daily Care in South Point
Treatment includes individual counseling, group therapy, behavioral health education, relapse-prevention planning, life-skills development, recreation time, meals and snacks, laundry access, and structured family visits.
The care team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, counselors, case managers, court liaisons, and peer recovery specialists who support clients throughout treatment.
MAT and Discharge Planning
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) options may include buprenorphine, suboxone, Sublocade, Brixadi, and naloxone. While the center does not prescribe methadone, staff can coordinate daily dosing for clients already receiving methadone treatment.
Most clients step down to another level of care within about 30 days. Discharge planning may include outpatient treatment, sober living, longer-term residential care, or referrals to community-based support services.
Center Overview

Supportive Medication for Recovery
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based approach that pairs FDA-approved medications with counseling to treat addiction. The medications are used to reduce cravings, ease withdrawal symptoms, or block the effects of substances. More about MAT
Methadone
Naltrexone
Buprenorphine
This center accepts patients receiving MAT prescribed elsewhere for opioid use disorder, but does not provide MAT.
Note: Treatment centers offer different forms of MAT—such as oral tablets, dissolvable films, or monthly injections—and their policies can vary based on state regulations, provider preferences, and insurance coverage. Because of these differences, it's best to contact the center directly to learn what options are available and what might be right for your situation.
