The program is situated in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and emphasizes evidence-based, structured care in a supportive environment.

Integrated Care That Addresses Complex Needs

New Prospects delivers a variety of services including individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, case management, 12-Step facilitation, and, when appropriate, medication-assisted treatment for opioid dependence. The program also provides trauma-informed and relapse prevention interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and anger management.

Ongoing Support That Encourages Long-Term Recovery

The program serves adults who struggle with addiction and often co-occurring mental health conditions. Clients also receive an individualized aftercare and discharge plan that may include referrals to outpatient treatment, housing resources, mental health services, and peer support. Horizons also supports transition to long-term recovery by facilitating relapse prevention, providing peer or recovery coaching, and encouraging alumni participation.
