About Laguna Beach Recovery
Every path to sobriety is unique, but clients at Laguna Beach Recovery do not have to walk it alone. Set away from everyday noise along the California coastline, the program provides medically supervised detox and residential care for addiction and co-occurring mood conditions. Daily clinical team interactions and weekly face-to-face doctor visits pair with flexible rules that welcome personal laptops, cell phones, and pets.
Gain Skills for Lasting Recovery
Clinicians design treatment plans around each clients' specific medical background, substance history, and recovery goals. In daily group and individual sessions, participants use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to change harmful habits. Alongside these meetings, medical staff provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to ease cravings, while 12-step groups like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) restore motivation, and weekly mindfulness, yoga, and personal wellness services soothe the body.
Find Space for Comfort, Calm, and Focus
Laguna Beach Recovery operates two coastal settings, Canyon Acres and Coast View, capping occupancy at four and six residents. The Canyon Acres home features modern architecture and high vaulted ceilings set against a dramatic canyon hillside. Down at the Coast View house, expansive outdoor patios offer a hot tub paired with panoramic ocean vistas. Both properties provide bedrooms with personal bathrooms, chef-prepared meals, convenient beach access, and off-site gym trips.
Ensure a Smooth Transition to Everyday Life
Recovery does not end when a primary stay is over. Laguna Beach Recovery develops tailored aftercare strategies that align with clients’ individual needs and circumstances, ensuring a smooth transition. After leaving treatment, clients access continued support from the team, including check-ins, counseling, and connection to community resources. Clients also learn relapse prevention strategies to manage triggers and cravings, empowering them to maintain their recovery journey and enhance their overall well-being.

Supportive Medication for Recovery
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based approach that pairs FDA-approved medications with counseling to treat addiction. The medications are used to reduce cravings, ease withdrawal symptoms, or block the effects of substances. More about MAT
Methadone
Naltrexone
Buprenorphine
Note: Treatment centers offer different forms of MAT—such as oral tablets, dissolvable films, or monthly injections—and their policies can vary based on state regulations, provider preferences, and insurance coverage. Because of these differences, it's best to contact the center directly to learn what options are available and what might be right for your situation.
