Created exclusively for the military community, Hope Valley Health & Wellness provides medically supervised detox and 30–90 days of residential treatment for Veterans and active-duty members of all military branches. They treat alcohol, opioid, stimulant, benzodiazepine, and other substance use disorders alongside post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, and military-related trauma. With a 5:1 client-to-clinician ratio, Hope Valley keeps care highly individualized, while staff with military experience bring an understanding of service culture into treatment.

A Veteran-Focused Path Through Treatment

Hope Valley Health & Wellness guides Veterans and active-duty service members toward wellness through personalized, evidence-based addiction treatment and trauma-focused mental healthcare. Clients engage in individual and group sessions using proven modalities like Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Seeking Safety, and gender-responsive care, while non-invasive Electromagnetic Brain Pulse (EMBP) therapy helps ease underlying trauma symptoms. A dedicated psychiatric team manages co-occurring conditions and provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid and alcohol addiction when appropriate. To support holistic healing, clients integrate yoga, acupuncture, equine therapy, and daily gym access into their routines while rebuilding camaraderie through Battle Dawgs’ Veteran-focused outdoor retreats and experiences, including dog sledding.

Live and Recover Alongside Peers

Clients stay in newly built, gender-separated homes on Hope Valley’s 2 private acres, with no more than 6 residents sharing each house for a close-knit living experience. After residential care, lifetime aftercare includes peer connection, workforce development, and career reintegration to help Veterans return to work and community life. Hope Valley also addresses the challenge of reaching treatment in Alaska by coordinating flights to Anchorage and ground transportation for Veterans traveling from the continental United States and coordinating travel for those coming from remote Alaska communities.

Available

Naltrexone

(Vivitrol®, Revia®)
Blocks opioid effects
Available

Buprenorphine

(Suboxone®, Subutex®, Sublocade®, Zubsolv®)

Note: Treatment centers offer different forms of MAT—such as oral tablets, dissolvable films, or monthly injections—and their policies can vary based on state regulations, provider preferences, and insurance coverage. Because of these differences, it's best to contact the center directly to learn what options are available and what might be right for your situation.
