Cronin House

Pairing real-time progress tracking with 24/7 on-site support, Cronin House provides structured residential care in a 52-bed, co-ed facility in Hayward, California. The program serves men, women, and non-binary adults 18 and older with substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. Clients live in gender-specific dormitories, with staff available around-the-clock as they follow a daily schedule of counseling, groups, 12-Step support, wellness activities, and skill building. Regular assessments help the team adjust treatment as needs change.

Build Skills and Address Clinical Needs

Clients can remain in residential care for up to 90 days, depending on their needs and progress. Licensed therapists and certified addiction counselors provide individual and group counseling, case management, education, trauma-focused therapy, including eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) when appropriate. Alongside counseling, medical and psychiatric services address related health needs through assessments, monitoring, medication management, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) when appropriate. On-site Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings add peer and 12-Step support to the daily program.

Connect with Family and Daily Life

Between clinical sessions, clients can use the outdoor fitness area, play sports, join mindfulness groups, and attend nutrition classes. Family counseling and educational sessions involve loved ones in the process, while monthly Awards Nights bring clients, families, and alumni together to recognize progress. Case management and discharge planning help clients prepare for continued care after their stay.
