Therapies that Heal the Mind and Body

California Care Recovery uses proven therapies to treat the root causes of addiction. Patients receive 1-on-1 counseling, group therapy, and family support. They combine evidence-based therapies with holistic approaches to nurture the mind, body, and spirit.

Evidence-Based Therapies and Experiential Care

Clients engage in weekly individual and group therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), equine therapy, art, music, and somatic therapies. Their equine therapy is a clinically supervised, ground-based modality (with no riding) to support trauma processing and emotional regulation as part of each client's treatment plan. Outside the house, clients can engage in whale watching, hiking, horticultural therapy, and yoga to support their recovery.

Care Forward Scholarship

California Care Recovery offers the Care Forward Scholarship, awarded once per quarter and valued at up to $60,000. It covers a clinical assessment, up to 30 days of treatment at California Care Recovery, housing, and roundtrip travel.
