Founded by two people who triumphed over addiction, Bonus Round Recovery offers clients the opportunity to do the same. Their facility in central San Diego offers partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs, with supportive housing available. With an intimate 8:1 client-to-clinician ratio, they craft bespoke treatment plans that honor each client’s story, mitigate co-occurring mental health challenges, and foster not just abstinence, but a vibrant, empowered life.

Focus on Whole-Person Healing

Bonus Round goes beyond treating substance use. Using an evidence-based approach, they focus on healing mentally, emotionally, and physically. With an emphasis on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), clients learn to change negative thought patterns, regulate emotions, manage triggers, and build healthier behaviors. The structured curriculum helps clients build a strong foundation and develop real-life coping skills for life beyond treatment. Bonus Round also provides medical and psychiatric oversight to boost physical health and address co-occurring mental health conditions.

Design a Program That Fits

Bonus Round meets clients where they are in their recovery journey. Their PHP provides structured care 6 hours per day, 5 days per week, with the option to live in Bonus Round’s supportive housing. Their IOP ranges from 1-3 hours per day, 2-4 days per week, with flexible scheduling options that accommodate work, school, and home life.

Gain Lifelong Support

Bonus Round remains each client’s cheerleaders, support system, and community—for life. Their team maintains an open-door policy for program graduates, providing check-ins and crisis support. Each comprehensive aftercare plan includes connections to local AA and NA meetings, therapist and psychiatrist referrals, sober living options, and an active alumni network. Inspired by the founders’ own recovery, they also provide lifelong career support and entrepreneurial guidance to help clients rebuild purposeful, independent lives.

Be Personally Supported by the Founders
Founded by Tony and Linnsey—two people who fought their way through years of addiction and came out the other side—Bonus Round Recovery was built from lived experience, not just theory. They are deeply involved in each client’s journey, walking alongside them as they rediscover their purpose and rebuild a life worth staying sober for.
Find Big Impact in Small Groups
Find Big Impact in Small Groups
With Bonus Round’s 8:1 client-to-clinician ratio, the client is not one of 30 people fighting for attention. They’re part of an intimate community where everyone knows their name, story, and goals. Bonus Round intentionally keeps groups small so each person gets real attention, meaningful connections, and personalized support in every session.
Prepare for Real-World Triggers
Prepare for Real-World Triggers
Bonus Round prepares clients for future challenges by equipping them with a relapse prevention toolbox. Clients develop concrete skills like trigger management, coping strategies for difficult emotions, communication scripts for high-risk situations, and self-care routines. They also leave with a list of supportive people to call and a step-by-step plan to follow if relapse occurs.
Stay in Supportive Housing
Stay in Supportive Housing
Clients in PHP can stay in Bonus Round’s supportive housing for the duration of the program. Located steps from the ocean, the gender-specific housing includes private or semi-private rooms, and house managers who enforce gentle guidelines and healthy habits like curfews and communal meals. On-site amenities include yoga spaces and quiet lounges for self-care.
