AlterNativa/Tectum Salud

With a deep understanding of the Hispanic and Latino culture, AlterNativa serves adults with alcohol and drug addiction, including opioids, cocaine, marijuana, benzodiazepines, prescription drugs, and other substances. The center also treats behavioral addictions involving gambling, sex and pornography, shopping, technology, social media, video games, work, and exercise, as well as co-occurring conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, personality disorders, and chronic stress.

Flexible Paths to Recovery

Clients can participate in partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient treatment (IOP), or virtual IOP with treatment available in 100% Spanish. PHP is 5 days weekly for a total of 30 hours, with staying in the center's recovery residence offered. IOP is held 3 days weekly for 3-hour sessions, while the virtual option follows the same schedule through evening sessions. Approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing (MI).

Recovery-Focused Certified Housing

AlterNativa/Tectum Salud also offers a FARR Level IV certified recovery residence for people who need a structured, supervised living environment while participating in treatment. Residents stay in private or semi-private rooms, with access to furnished common areas, a shared kitchen, and recovery meetings, peer support, substance testing, and twice-monthly housekeeping.
