About Addiction Recovery Center - Hayward
Medical detoxification, residential treatment, and dual diagnosis services are available for adults experiencing alcohol, opioid, stimulant, and benzodiazepine dependence. Located in Hayward and serving the East Bay community, Addiction Recovery Center provides 24-hour clinical supervision, same-day admissions, intensive outpatient programming (IOP), virtual IOP, and aftercare services. Treatment addresses alcohol, heroin, fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, Xanax, and Klonopin dependence through multiple levels of care within one treatment organization.
Medication and Therapy Services
Treatment combines medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for alcohol and opioid use disorders with individual, group, and family therapy. Addiction Recovery Center utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), EMDR therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care. The clinical team develops individualized treatment plans, monitors medications when indicated, and provides dual diagnosis treatment for individuals experiencing substance use disorders (SUD) alongside anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Daily Treatment Activities
Clients complete comprehensive assessments that review substance use history, medical concerns, and mental health needs before beginning treatment. During programming, they attend individual and group counseling sessions, participate in psychoeducation, receive medication monitoring when prescribed, and take part in family therapy and relapse prevention planning. Additional programming may include yoga, meditation, nutrition counseling, art therapy, and recreation-based activities as part of the treatment process.

Note: Treatment centers offer different forms of MAT—such as oral tablets, dissolvable films, or monthly injections—and their policies can vary based on state regulations, provider preferences, and insurance coverage. Because of these differences, it's best to contact the center directly to learn what options are available and what might be right for your situation.
